Box 4848 _ <br /> Anaheim, CA 92803 1' <br /> ADDITIONAL SITE ASSESSMENT REPORT, SHELL OIL COMPANY, STOCKTON BULK <br /> FUEL TERMINAL, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> I have reviewed Pacific Environmental Group's (Pacific) 15 August 1994 Preliminary Site <br /> Assessment Report on the investigation to define the horizontal extent of soil and ground water <br /> contamination in secondary source area (SSA) 3. <br /> I concur with the report findings and recommendations including installation of monitoring well <br /> (MW) 28 in the vicinity of sampling location G-28, and additional geoprobe investigation east of <br /> SSA 1. I suggest that the additional subsurface information obtained during this investigation be <br /> used to revise the geologic cross-sections of the site. <br /> By 30 September 1994, please submit a work plan for MW 28 installation and a copy of the revised <br /> cross-sections, if already available. As agreed with Mr. Justin Hawkins of Pacific, the meeting we <br /> have tentatively scheduled for 9 September 1994 has been postponed until after the completion of <br /> MW 28 installation and the geoprobe investigation east of SSA 1. <br /> If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 255-3049. <br /> PHILIA.
