The Work Plan proposes to install and develop
four monitoring wells to delineate the lateral extent of petroleum contamination in groundwater.
Monitoring wells will be installed northeast and southwest of the property, and on the west side of the
property. Two soil samples will be submitted per boring for chemical analyses. In addition, all site
monitoring wells will be surveyed to ensure groundwater elevation measurements are accurate, and
monitoring wells associated with the groundwater extraction system will be redeveloped to reduce silt
buildup and increase extraction flow.
The Work Plan is hereby approved on the condition that one of the two soil samples collected per boring
is collected from the capillary fringe or smear zone. By 6 July 2001,please submit an investigation
report summarizing fieldwork activities, analytical results of soil and groundwater, well construction
details, findings of the investigation, conclusions and recommendations.
