Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Subject: Disposal of Drill Cuttings and Well Purge Water at
FR Manufacturing, Stockton, CA and
Ramacher Manufacturing, Linden, CA
Dear Mr. Knoll:
The purpose of this letter is to document the proposed on-site disposal of drill cuttings and monitor
well purge water at FR Manufacturing, Stockton and disposal of drill cuttings at Ramacher
Manufacturing, Linden. The cuttings and purge water were generated during a Phase II investigation
of both sites and the results of soil and groundwater testing are provided in the Report of Findings,
Phase 11 Environmental Site Assessment, FR Manufacturing Corporation, 2807 & 2829 South Highway
99, Stockton, California and the Report of Findings,Phase ll Environmental Site Assessment, Ramacher
Manufacturing, Inc., 5023 North Flood Road, Linden, California. The analytical results for the
constituents of concern, (primarily total petroleum hydrocarbons), indicate maximum concentrations
well below San Joaquin County action levels and most results below reporting limits. Analytical results
from monitor wells show non-detectable concentrations of the constituents tested.
In our September 26, 1995 telephone conversation, you indicated that the drill cuttings could be used
as backfill in proposed excavations on the Stockton and Linden sites, and that the monitor well purge
water could be disposed of on asphalt surfaces at the Stockton site. These activities will be conducted
when the hydrocarbon-impacted soils are excavated and removed from the sites, sometime in October
or November 1995.
If you have any concerns or questions regarding the proposed disposal methods, please contact me
at (916) 853-1800. If I do not hear from you, I will assume that you concur with the proposed
disposal methods. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
HYDRO-SEARCH,- // INC.
J a lX L.J C C_"
Gail I.
