(LFR) will be working in the street
and public areas in the vicinity of your home for one to two days during the period of
March 3 through March 14, 1997. This field work will occur between the hours of
7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
LFR is conducting an environmental investigation, on behalf of certain dry cleaners
presently and formerly located at Lincoln Center, to characterize the nature and extent
of dry cleaning contamination in soil and groundwater surrounding the present and
former dry cleaning establishments. We have attached copies of two Lincoln Center
Fact Sheets which describe ongoing activities being conducted at Lincoln Center. These
Fact Sheets have previously been mailed to you and other residents in your area.
The work that is to be conducted in your neighborhood will consist primarily of
collecting soil data and groundwater quality data and possibly installing monitoring
wells in the neighborhood streets. The field equipment used in this work will consist of
a drill rig and support vehicles, and possibly concrete trucks, water trucks, a small
forklift, and other ancillary vehicles. A traffic plan has been prepared for work on your
street to safely route vehicle and pedestrian traffic around the work area and will be
provided to you in advance of our field work. We will make every attempt to minimize
noise and other potential impacts to you and your neighbors during our work.
For further information regarding these activities, to voice any concerns you may have,
or to be included on the mailing list to receive future Lincoln Center Fact Sheets (in
case you have not received the two attached Fact Sheets), please call our toll-free
information number:
1-800-527-2215
1900 Powell Street, 12th Floor, Emeryville, California 94608-1827 • (510) 652-4500 • fax(510) 652-2246 • O//ices Worldwide
