The results of this investigation are that the extent of groundwater
contamination to the south, southeast and northeast of the cleaners is not defined and additional investigation is
required. The 2 July report proposes three additional CPT/PIPP borings for the A-and B-zones. The 28 July letter
proposes additional work in the interior of the plume downgradient from the source area. The plan proposes to
install two A-zone and four B-zone monitoring wells at locations 17, 18, 19 and 20 as shown on Figures 1 and 2.
CPT/PIPP borings will be advanced at locations 19 and 20 to the A-and B-zones to determine the intervals for
monitoring.
The proposed additional CPT/PIPP investigation and installation of monitoring wells is approved provided that the
results be reported to the Board no later than four weeks following completion of the work.
If you have any que ns, you may call me at(916)255-3077.
CUSTIS
Associate Engineering Geologist
cc: San Joaquin County Environmental Health, Stockton
Mr. A.J.
