This report updates
the 8 April 1997 quarterly monitoring plan (QMP) to include 17 additional and remove two groundwater
monitoring wells. Changes in the QMP include modifying the designation number of older wells to
comply with the 3-digit numbering system, reducing the frequency of groundwater level measurements
from monthly to quarterly, removing well MW-011A from chemical sampling, removing abandoned
well MW-21B from the monitoring program, removing 10 wells from the NAPL thickness measurement
program due to the historic concentrations of hazardous substances less than 1,000 µg11, and adding
semiannual sampling of the City of Stockton's well number 11 to the plan. Modifications to the
reporting requirements include adding a table that shows the concentrations of all detected volatile
organic compounds in groundwater, adding a figure that shows quarterly tetrachloroethylene (PCE) and
hazardous substances concentrations for monitoring wells in each water bearing zone, and adding graphs
of PCE and water level elevations versus time in the first quarter monitoring report of each year. Theo
revisionstothe QMP are approved.
KIT CUSTI
Associate Engineering Geologist
cc: San Joaquin County Environmental Health, Stockton
Mr. A.J.
