Time of collection of a
grab sample shall be recorded. The following shall constitute the influent monitoring program:
Constituents Units Tyne of Sample Sampling Frequency'
Flow mgd Continuous
VOCSZ µg11 Grab Monthly
BTEXs µg/1 Grab Monthly
Lead(total) µg/1 Grab Monthly
Oxygenate Compounds 4g/1 Grab Monthly
Sampling frequency starting with the first week of full-scale operation for influent sampling be daily for week one,
every other day for week two, weekly for weeks three through twelve, and monthly beginning with week thirteen.
2 By EPA Method 601 or equivalent
' BTEX=analyses for benzene, toluene, xylene and ethylbenzene by EPA Method 602 or equivalent
4 By EPA Method 8260. All detected compounds shall be reported.
EFFLUENT MONITORING
Effluent samples shall be collected at the discharge prior to being discharged into the storm drain system.
Effluent samples shall be representative of the volume and quality of the discharge. Time of collection
of samples shall be recorded. Effluent monitoring shall include the following:
Constituents Units Type of Sample Sampling Frequency'
pH pH units Grab Monthly
Specific Conductivity µmhoslcm Grab MonthlMonthl
VOCs 4g11 Grab y
BTEX3 µg/1 Grab Monthly
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons 49/1 Grab Monthly
Lead(total) mg/l Grab Quarterly'
Oxygenate Compounds5 µg/1 Grab Monthly
Sampling frequency starting with the first week of full-scale operation for influent and effluent sampling and for
water level measurements in the extraction and injection wells will be daily for week one, every other day for
week two, weekly for weeks three through twelve, and monthly beginning with week thirteen.
By EPA Method 601 or equivalent. If any monthly sample contains detectable concentrations of volatile
organic compounds above the practical quantitation limit(PQL)of 0.5µg/1,the Discharger shall immediately
resample and reanalyze the effluent for the detected constituent(s), and shall continue sampling the effluent on
a weekly basis until the constituent(s) concentrations are below the PQL.
