From: Robert Elliott [mailto:relliott@zmtech.com]
Sent: Monday, October 22, 2007 9:10 PM
To: Garrett T. Backus [EH]
Cc: 'Bryan Hampton'
Subject: RE: New business license for 1010 Shaw Road
Garrett,
Our primary reason for the EPA number is for waste oil from our machinery—Compressor,
presses, and company vehicles, mostly soluble oil, some just motor oil that has been changed. We
generate less then 50 gallons a year of waste oil.
According to my understanding we can only store the oil for six months, because of the low
amount being generated. We have contacted a waste oil hauler who needed an EPA in order to
remove the waste oil from the premises.
We are not planning on treating the waste oil due to the low quantity.
Please let me know if we need to do anything else differently.
Thanks,
Robert Elliott
1010 Shaw Rd.
Stockton, CA 95215
Ph: 209-547-1965 Fax: 209-464-8140
www.zmtech.com
From: Garrett T. If ZM technologies will be generating hazardous waste at the Shaw
Road address then a hazardous waste permit is required. I did see that the business does have a EPA#
assigned to it, indicating that haz waste may be generated and hauled from the site. We also need to
know if hazardous waste will be treated onsite before disposal or reuse which would require a different
permit.
Please call or email me with information regarding the hazardous waste streams being generated at the
facility.
Garrett Backus, REHS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
600 E.
