Harding Lawson Associates No petroleum odors or visual evidence of petroleum hydrocarbons were noted during the inspection of the final excavation walls and floor, with the exception of a slight petroleum hydrocarbon odor, and a OVA reading o£x300�ppm in the vicinity of sample 91060607. 4 No other organic vapors were detected by the OVA. + 6.3 Laboratory Analytical Results The results of the laboratory analyses of soil samples collected from the x excavation floor, walls, and the stockpiles are presented in Table 1. Copies of the laboratory analytical data reports and chain of custody forms are presented in Appendix LrB. No detectable concentrations of TPH as'gasoline, diesel or motor oil, or BTEX were reported in the soil samples collected from the excavation floor and walls, with the i exception of f,2 ppm.of motor oil.in sample 91060607, collected from the southern wall of the excavation (Plate 3). However, the reported concentration of motor oil does not exceed the method detection limit by the range of accuracy of the analysis; therefore, the reported value may be the result of laboratory error and not accurately represent the chemical concentration in the soil. r No detectable concentrations of TPH as gasoline or motor oil, or BTEX were Il reported in the composite soil sample of stockpile 1. TPH as diesel was reported at 170 ;.ppm. No detectable concentrations of TPH as motor oil, or BTE were reported in the ` composite soil sample of stockpile 2. TAH as gasoline and diesel, and xylenes were ' reported at 2.6, 97, and 0.0026 ppm, respectively.
