Note the quick flow
chart we check to rule it out quickly, if applicable.
If the site appears to qualify for ISCO (In Situ Chemical Oxidation), we then format our approval based on another doc. I
can't seem to attach it here, so I'll try to send it separately..It's rather large, but it addresses many concerns we have.
Additionally, the CVRWQCB has concerns for ALL injectables at UST sites. If you/TOC can support conclusions that
ISCO will/could work at the site, the CVRWQCB must evaluate the site for mineral concerns that oxidants pose with
relations to waste discharge and metals and the like.
After evaluating site#172 to see if it qualifies (technical justification)for ISCO, you may submit a work plan to conduct the
study. If the work plan is approved by EHD, you will next need to have the CVRWQCB (Mr. Jim Barton, 916-464-4615)
evaluate for WDR concerns. If Mr. Barton approves the plan, you may submit boring applications and we will begin field
activities.
MM
Scanned_.pdf
1
