Therefore, proceed to submit the work plan to conduct an
AS/SVE pilot test that the EHD had directed to be submitted to this agency by 16 May 2014.
Also, please upload Corrective Action Plan, dated 14 January 2014, immediately to GeoTracker.
Significant petroleum hydrocarbon contaminant concentrations were detected in soil samples
collected between forty and sixty feet below surface grade (bsg) during the installation of
monitoring well MW-22 Also, high concentrations of contaminants of concern have been
reported in groundwater samples collected from MW-22, screened between fifty-five and sixty
feet bsg. The EHD directs that a work plan be submitted by 15 August 2014 to delineate the
groundwater plume down-gradient of monitoring well MW-22.
On 24 February 2012, five soil gas samples, SV-1 through SV-5, were collected between two
and five feet bsg. Soil gas sample SV-3 was advanced adjacent to the current 7-Eleven
building and soil gas analytical results suggest a potential vapor intrusion risk. The EHD directs
that a work plan be submitted by 15 August 2014 to collect data to evaluate the risk to human
health and the environment posed by soil gas.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-
9852 or by email at vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
Sincerely.
