Additional Site Assessment and Remedial System Design <br /> Thrifty Oil Company Station #172 <br /> 7647 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> (PHS-EHD File#1227) <br /> Park Project No. 1528-J1 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />' Thrifty Oil Company(Thrifty)has retained The Park Corporation (Park) to provide environmental <br /> consulting services to respond to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental <br />' Health Division's(PHS-EHD)letter dated November 19, 1998 requirement to perform an additional <br /> site assessment and evaluate remedial options at the former Thrifty Service Station#172 located at <br /> 7647 Pacific Avenue, in Stockton, California (Figure 1, the "Site") <br /> 1.1 Purpose <br /> The scope of services described in this report respond to the PHS-EHD's requirements that Thrifty <br /> • Conduct a groundwater pump test to evaluate an interim corrective <br />' measure to address contaminants in soils and groundwater that may <br /> be harmful to human health and the environment <br /> • Continue to evaluate the soil and groundwater quality 70 feet below <br /> ground surface (bgs) in the vicinity of groundwater monitoring well <br />' MW-11 <br /> • Redevelop well MW-7 to enhance the well's productivity <br />' 1.2 Scope of Services <br /> The scope of services performed by Park to fulfill the above-mentioned objectives included the <br /> following tasks <br />' Well permits were obtained from the San Joaquin County Health <br /> Division and the Stockton Public Works Agency prior to commencing <br /> field activities at the Site <br />' Park installed one (1) 2-inch diameter extraction well (MW-12) <br /> through previously installed conductor casing to a total depth of <br />' 73 feet bgs <br /> AA11528J1 ASA 1 <br />
