Mr. Cominski: At your request, RESNA Industries (RESNA) conducted a site reconnaissance and investigated soil at the subject site (shown on Plate 1). The purpose of this investigation was to assess the property in conjunction with a potential title transfer; the investigation was not in response to a known or suspected release of hazardous material at the site. The investigation included conducting an exterior site reconnaissance to identify possible sources of hazardous materials, hand-augering four soil borings, and collecting and analyzing soil samples. Ground water was not investigated. Work was conducted according to our Site Safety Plan No. 32023.SSP, dated January 12, 1993, and Work Plan No. 32023-1W, dated January 8, 1993. A drilling permit was obtained from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS-EHD). Our field methods are described in an attachment to this report. She Reconnaissance On January 7, 1993, a RESNA geologist performed a reconnaissance of the site to identify possible sources of hazardous materials, such as drums, storage tanks, process machinery, electrical equipment, solid waste, sumps, loading docks, equipment repair, or decontamination areas. Reconnaissance was Iimited to the exterior of existing buildings. No obvious sources of hazardous materials were observed at the site.
