(ERI) for the above-
referenced subject site. In the report ERI presents the analytical results for groundwater
samples collected for the second time from newly-installed monitoring well MW-8. Laboratory
results indicate that chemicals of concern have not been detected in any of the groundwater
i samples. during the first two..sampling- events ori, 30 March. 2010,- and 1-1 June 2010. If
i analytical results are non-detect for groundwater'samples collected from MW-8 during the
third sampling event on 24 August 2010, then this well maybe sampled annually instead of
quarterly and analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g); benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX); and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA).
' In the report, ERI recommends that off-site monitoring wells MW-9R and MW-10, installed on
9 10 August 2010, and 22 — 23 June 2010, respectively, be sampled quarterly for four
quarters prior to evaluation for reduction in the sampling schedule. The EHD concurs with this
a recommendation. Please analyze the groundwater sample's from MW-9R and MW-10 for
4 TPH-g, BTEX, 1,2-DCA, 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB), methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE),-ethyl
i tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), di-isopropyl ether (DIPS), and
} tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA).
If you have any questions, please contact Vicki McCartney by telephone at (209) 468-9852 or
by email at vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
Sincerely;
f
Victoria L.
