In Work Status, Schedule Modification,
and Extension Request, dated February 8, 2010, Environmental Resolutions, Inc. (ERI) has
requested an extension to complete the fieldwork and has tentatively rescheduled the
collection of soil vapor samples for February 18 and 19, 2010, and the installation of
monitoring wells MW9 and MW10 for the first week of March 2010. The EHD understands
that because of weather and soil conditions these proposed dates may not be practical, and
so the EHD is allowing more time to complete the fieldwork.
During the review of site analytical data, the EHD noticed that the laboratory is not reporting
the laboratory control sample (LCS), LCS duplicate (LCSD), matrix spike (MS) and MS
duplicate (MSD) for 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) as part of their quality control. Since
1,2-DCA is a chemical of concern at this site, please have the laboratory report the LCS/LCSD
and MS/MSD for 1,2-DCA in future laboratory reports.
If you have any questions, please contact Vicki McCartney by telephone at (209) 468-9852 or
by email at vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
Sincerely,
G;
Victoria L.
