Cardno ERI prepared a regression based on the analytical data following
the December 2004 sampling event. Based on the regression, the 1,2 DCA WQNL will be achieved in well
MW3 in approximately 2028.
Well MW4
Well MW4 was first sampled in June of 2005 and does not show the increase observed in wells MW1 and
MW3 during 2004. Cardno ERI prepared a regression based on the all of the analytical data collected from
well MW4. Based on the regression, the 1,2 DCA WQNL will be achieved in well MW4 in approximately
2014.
Remaining Wells
Regressions were not performed on wells MW2, MW5, MW7, MW8, MW9, or MW10. Well MW2, MW8,
and MW9 have not had a reportable concentration above the laboratory reporting limit during the
monitoring program. Well MW5 and MW7 has not had a reportable concentration of 1,2 DCA since March
of 2008. Well MW10 had a reported concentration of 2.6 pglL during the initial sampling event in August
2010, and has since not had reportable concentrations.
David R. Missing from the report was an estimate of the time it will
take before the groundwater contaminant concentrations of 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA)will return to
water quality goals. Please provide trend graphs and time predictions, supported by calculations, for
meeting water quality objectives for 1,2-DCA. This information can be sent to me in an email and I will
forward this information to Jim Barton, PG, at the California Regional Water Quality Control Board Central
Valley Region,
Vicki McCartney, Senior RENS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
11S 10012
