i <br /> ISite Background Information <br /> • Former PACIFIC AUTO CENTER <br /> 25355 Nortb Highway 99,Acampo, California <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in a rural area of northern San Joaquin County,north of the City of Lodi,near the <br /> Iintersection of Highway 99 North and Collier Road The site is presently operated as a Recreational <br /> Vehicle (R V ) sales and service facility <br />' UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> AGE has been informed that three underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the site <br /> in 1978 The former contents and volume of each UST are not known, however, the site was <br />' formerly operated as a Mobil gasoline station Two concrete dispenser islands are still present at the <br /> site The USTs were apparently removed from an area north of the former dispenser islands A <br /> former waste oil UST was probably located near the garage area <br /> AGE is unaware of any soil samples collected during the removal of the USTs However,the former <br /> UST area was re-excavated in 1988 and, according to information and records provided to AGE by <br /> prior property owners, no petroleum hydrocarbons were encountered <br /> PREVIOUS SITE ASSESSMENT <br /> On 25 January 1999, AGE advanced two soil probe borings at the site Probe boring PI was <br />' advanced within the former UST excavation to a depth of 50 feet below surface grade(bsg) Probe <br /> boring P2 was advanced immediately adjacent to the former waste oil USTs Samples were collected <br /> at 5-foot intervals in each probe boring Low concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons were <br /> detected in soil samples collected from P1 at depths of 35 feet, 40 feet, and 50 feet bsg <br /> On 25 and 26 February 1999, and on 01, 02,03, and 05 March 1999,AGE advanced five additional <br /> isoil probe bonngs to approximately 80 feet bsg Three of the five bonngs were completed as <br /> groundwater monitoring wells Hydrocarbon-impacted soil was reported In samples collected from <br />' three of the five borings Analytical results of soil samples collected from the site are summarized <br /> in Table 1 of this appendix <br />' Borings B 1, B3, and B5 were completed as ground water monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2 and <br /> MW-3, respectively Between March 1999 and March 2004, ground water samples have been <br /> collected from each monitoring well on twelve occasions Hydrocarbon-impacted ground water has <br />' been consistently reported in samples collected from wells MW-1 and MW-3 <br /> .'
