INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Pat Meeks of Meeks R V , Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has <br /> prepared this report for 25355 North Highway 99, Acampo, California (the site) The San Joaquin <br />' County Environmental Health Department (EHD) had required by letter, dated 20 October 2003, <br /> additional site assessment of the lateral and vertical extents of hydrocarbon-impacted ground water <br /> associated with the former operation of underground storage tanks(USTs)at the site The scope of <br />' work included the advancement of one paired soil boring for cone penetrometer testing (CPT) and <br /> installation of two additional ground water monitoring wells, in addition, this report includes the <br /> results of the second quarter 2005 ground water monitoring event The site and surrounding area are <br />' illustrated on Figure 1 Structures, soil borings, and monitoring well locations are illustrated on <br /> Figure 2 An expanded site plan including the locations of four down gradient domestic wells is <br /> shown on Figure 3 Additional site background information is provided in Appendix A <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br />'• Field work was conducted in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and the EHD for the subsurface investigation of UST <br />' sites and the sampling of ground water monitoring wells, respectively Cone penetrometer testing, <br /> monitoring well installation, and sampling procedures are outlined in the AGE-prepared Cone <br />' Penetrometer Testing and Monitoring Well Installation WorkPlan, dated 15 July 2004 and approved <br /> by the EHD in a letter dated 12 August 2004 <br /> 21 CPT LITHOLOGIC INVESTIGATION <br /> On 13 October 2004, one paired soil bonng was advanced at location CPT-I for cone penetrometer <br /> testing At the boring location, lithologic data was collected from an initial CPT sounding utilizing <br /> a piezocone(cone penetrometer with pore pressure measurement)tip,an immediately adjacent,twin <br /> boring was then advanced to collect grab ground water samples from selected depths <br /> I2 1 1 Advancement of CPT Borings <br /> The CPT investigation utilized a 25-ton,truck-mounted CPT drill rig equipped with 2-inch diameter <br /> Ihollow-stem rods A hydraulic ram was utilized to advance a piezocone attached to the hollow-stem <br /> rod assembly to the total depth of 147 feet below surface grade(bsg) in the area of the former UST <br /> location(Figure 2), a piezocone illustration is provided in Appendix B <br /> Advanced Ccolnnronmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
