INTRODUCTION
x
At the request of Mr Pat Meeks, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this
rquarterly report for the property located at 25355 N Highway 99, Acampo, California The scope
F of work included domestic well sampling, quarterly ground water monitoring and preparation of this
report The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area is illustrated on Figure 1
Structures and monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 An expanded site plan, including
the locations of four down gradient domestic wells is shown in Figure 3 Background information
is summarized in the AGE-prepared Preliminary Site Assessment Report, dated 07 April 1999 Data
from previous ground water monitoring events are included in Tables 1 and 2
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
Field activities were performed in accordance with guidelines for the investigation of underground
storage tank (UST) sites and the sampling of ground water monitoring wells as issued by the
Regional Water Quality Control Board- Central Valley Region(CVRWQCB) and the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department (EHD), respectively
2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 28 June 2004, a Sollnst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in the
three wells relative,to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and gradient were
determined from this data(Table 1)
After depth to ground water measurements, between 4 and 5 25 gallons of water (a minimum of
3,casing-water volumes per well) were purged from monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3
using dedicated, disposable plastic bailers Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were
measured at regular intervals during the purge process using an Oakton water analyzer Field data
sheets are included in Appendix A Purged water was stored on site-in appropriately labeled,
55-gallon Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved drums
22 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
A water sample was collected from each purged well using the dedicated, disposable bailers Each
Iwater sample was transferred into laboratory-supplied 40-m1 volatile organic analysis (VOA) vials
. containing 0 5 ml 18%hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative After collection, the samples were
properly labeled, placed in a chilled container and transported under chain of custody to a California
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
