The site is bordered by
orchards to north, east, and south and Highway 99 to the west. The site currently
contains three 12,000-gallon gasoline USTs and associated product lines and dispensers.
An active domestic well supplying water to the service station is located on the
southwest portion of the property.
During September 1999, product lines and dispensers at the site were upgraded. Twenty
one soil samples were collected from beneath the product lines, vapor lines, dispensers,
and product lines formerly abandoned in place. TPHg was reported in eighteen of the
twenty-one samples at concentrations ranging from 1.94 mg/kg to 11,300 mg/kg.
Benzene was reported in fifteen samples at concentrations ranging from 0.0316 mg/kg to
48.3 mg/kg. MtBE was reported in fourteen of the samples ranging in concentration
from 0.110 mg/kg to 6.47 mg/kg. TBA, DIPE, EtBE, TAME, 1,2 DCA, and EDB were
reported as nondetect in all samples. Approximately 189 tons of soil generated during
the removal of the underground facilities and the trenching for new piping was disposed
of at BFI Landfill in Livermore, CA.
Four groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 to MWA) were installed in June 2000. The
results of the initial sampling of these wells will be summarized in a report submitted
during the third quarter 2000. Quarterly monitoring of these well will be initiated.
I
{
