Lori Duncan [EH]
From: Pratt, Don [Don.Pratt@bp.com]
Sent: Tuesday, August 01, 2006 7:45 PM
To: Lori Duncan [EH]
Cc: Rusty Benkosky; Vernon_Elarth@URSCorp.com
Subject: FW: ARCO 595 7/21 site visit
L9
ARCO 595 018.jpg ARCO 595 017.jp9
observed Attached are pictures of monitoring well MW-1 that you recently
as potentially damaged (former ARCO 595 - 6100 Hammer Lane) . URS will
assure that the well is properly secured and identified so that no
additional damage is incurred. The well appears relatively in tact with
the exception of the damage to the well box and some of the surface
grout seal.
The contact information that we have is referenced below. I will contact
Mr. Mascardo with the San Joaquin Council of Governments to discuss soil
conditions and monitoring well locations. I will also try to find out
about future work planned, so that we can avoid any more damage or
problems. If we have any problems or conflicts I will inform you.
Thanks again for the heads up to this condition.
Don
Don Pratt
Environmental Business Manager
Atlantic Richfield
Office - 714-670-5228
cell - 714-609-0183
Email - prattdl@bp.com
The person who bought the right of way is Donald Mascardo of San Joaquin
Council of Governments. He is the Regional Planner.
They are located:
555 E. Weber Ave
Stockton, CA 95202
phone 209-468-3913
fax 209-468-1084
e-mail dmascardo@sjcog.org
Mr. Mascardo said they hired a contractor Jim Thorpe to just haul off
all above ground structures including canopy, concrete, and asphalt.
They were to demolish the footings as far as they could.
He did not know how deep they went.
He does not believe they hauled any soil from the site.
He did not have the contractor's information on him at time of visit.
The contractor was to acquire all permits.
They started work at this site on July 10th and completed the work on
July 19th.
I will travel to the site today to put up dilineators and snow fencing
around both existing monitoring wells.
will e-mail those pics.
Margaret Hogaboom
1
