• • <br /> ■ Using client's existing hazardous waste generator process to dispose of waste. <br /> Provide client with information on the type of waste generated to assure compatibility <br /> with existing waste streams. <br /> ■ Returning excess chemicals to the vendor for recycling or reuse. Wherever possible, <br /> purchase reagents from a vendor that will accept return of unused product. Have the <br /> vendor provide appropriate packaging materials for the return shipment. <br /> ■ Disposing of non-hazardous residuals as solid waste or in a sanitary sewer. Some <br /> wastes, with review and approval by the Business Unit Health & Safety Manager, <br /> can be disposed of in the local municipal solid waste or wastewater systems. <br /> This information on the field use of chemicals can be provided by incorporating the example <br /> form provided at the end of this document into the HASP. An SDS for each chemical or product <br /> must be attached to the HASP.
