Please proceed with submittal of a work plan to install <br /> groundwater monitoring wells, both at the shallow groundwater interface level <br /> and at a deeper level to verify the results of the grab groundwater sample <br /> collected at 115 feet bsg, located downgradient to MW-1. The work plan is due <br /> for submittal no later than May 15, 2009. <br /> Chevron proposes completing four quarters of monitoring and sampling of all <br /> groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-5)prior to submitting a work plan <br /> for further investigation. Four quarters of groundwater data will produce more reliable <br /> groundwater flow direction and gradient data to properly place the downgradient <br /> monitoring well.
