Frontage Road
Stockton, CA 95215
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed Site
Assessment Report (Report) dated October 8, 2008, submitted on your behalf by Arcadis
and has the following comments.
The Report documents the installation of four additional groundwater monitoring wells
(MW-2, MW-3, MW-4 and MW-5) at this contaminated underground storage tank (UST)
site. The wells were monitored and sampled on June 26, 2008. Laboratory analytical
results reported total petroleum hydrocarbon at diesel (TPHd) in each well, and confirmed
TPH as gasoline, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, methyl tertiary butyl ether, tertiary butyl
alcohol and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) in well MW-1.
Installation of one deep soil boring to investigate the vertical extent of the groundwater
contamination at this site has been previously proposed and approved by the EHD. In the
Report Arcadis proposes to locate the boring near MW-1. The EHD approves the
proposed location. Please proceed with submittal of a San Joaquin County Well Permit
Application, $89.00 permit fee and with scheduling the approved work. Deadline for
installation of the proposed soil boring is January 9, 2009; a report of findings
documenting the work is due within 60 days following completion of the boring.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Sincerely,
yah
Lori Duncan, REHS Nuel C.
