I believe there was a previous report with the County that states that the ash is non-
hazardous. Our development manager, Kevin Coleman, is working with Robert McClellon to find that information and
we will forward to you as soon as they can dig it up.
Our apologies about the batteries. The contractor disposed of them yesterday. Pictures and documentation will follow
shortly...
Thank you!
Emily Mandrup
VP, Industrial Development
LBA Logistics
818-919-5336(C)
949-955-9333 (0)
From:Alaniz,John <jalanizl@slgov.org>
Sent: Wednesday, November 27, 2019 9:37 AM
To: Ledbetter, Kathleen<kledbetter@INrealty.com>
Cc: Mandrup, Emily<EMandrup@lbarealty.com>; Backus, Garrett<gbackus@sjgov.org>
Subject: EXTERNAL: 14800 W Schulte Rd, Tracy CA_EHD
Hi Kathleen,
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received a complaint regarding fly ash still being on site from
the Tracy Biomass Plant. I did an investigation and found a fine grey powder on the ground south of the demolition
area. I was informed by the foreman that the powder was there before the demolition began. I have a concern that the
powder might potentially be hazardous waste and would like to take an environmental sample. I was wondering who I
should talk with regarding that process. I need to receive permission from the owner to take a sample.
In addition, we were shown two battery units that were discovered during demolition. Both units are going to need to
be disposed of. I am going to be writing a notice to abate to dispose of the battery units. Should I send it to the address
my department used earlier?
Kathleen Ledbetter
LBA Realty
3347 Michelson Dr STE 200
Irvine CA 92612
1 have attached photos of the grey powder and the battery units.
Respectfully,
John Alaniz
3
