Taber <br /> Since 7354 <br /> 1P2/399/245-4 <br /> • Unusual smells and odors, particularly of a chemical nature <br /> • Signs and symptoms of exposure, including irritation of eyes, nose, throat, and <br /> i` <br /> airways; narcosis (drunkenness, giddiness, stupor) <br /> ) <br /> • Presence of discolored soils/debris and/or oily residues <br /> • Discovery of buried metal and/or plastic containers <br /> Actions To Be Taken by On-site Workers - If the above conditions are observed by <br /> on-site workers, the following actions are to be taken: <br /> Stop work in the area, move to and upwind location at least 100 feet way, and <br /> immediately notify the SSO. <br /> L • If warranted based on the conditions encountered, call the Fire Department to <br /> respond to an emergency (911). <br /> If warranted, the SSO (In personal protective gear - protective <br /> coveralls/gloves/air purifying respirator) will observeconditions from a safe <br /> distance for obvious signs of chemical reaction; fuming, smoke generation, <br /> and/or aerosol formation. <br /> The SSO will notify Project Manager and Office Health and Safety Coordinator of <br /> conditions observed.
