Fluor Daniel GTI has specified equipment accord trig to the bid specifications Fluor Daniel <br /> GTI has provided pricing that assumes the client will purchase this equipment as new, because it is less <br /> expensive than leasing If Montgomery Ward already owns or is willing to lease used equipment, capital <br /> expenditures may be further reduced It also appears that cost savings may be obtained by reviewing the <br /> derign parameters and reducing the size of some of the equipment In either case, Fluor Daniel GTI will <br /> work closely with the client in providing cost-savings options during the Course of selecting tht, <br /> equipment <br /> Task 10 Start-Up and TroubleshootingI month <br /> ( ) <br /> Upon completion of system installation, all of the sensors and instruments shall be calibrated and the <br /> equipment shall be started up in aUCOidance with manufacturer's instructions and the O&M Manual <br /> Vapor samples from both inlet and outlet of the treatment system shall be collected and sent to a state- <br /> certified lab for analysis to assure that all of the discharge ]imitations are being met In addition, prior to <br /> the start-up, well vapor samples from all the vapor extraction wells shall be collected and sent to a certified <br /> analytical laboratory for analysis of benzene, TPH-G as a baseline System parameters will be monitored <br /> regularly over this one-month period to ensure compliance with permit requirements <br /> Task 11 Standard Operation And Maintenance <br /> Upon issuance of a Permit to Operate the system by the APCD, site visits will be conducted twice during <br /> each month to maintain the system accordance with manufacturer's instructions, O&M Manual, and to <br /> perform system monitoring Vapor samples from both the inlet and outlet of the treatment system shall be <br /> collected monthly and sent to a state-certified lab for analysis for benzene, TPH-G as a baseline to assure <br /> that all of the discharge limitations are being met In addition to the regular system maintenance during <br /> each visit, PID readings will be collected from each well-head This will allow the system to be adjussted <br /> to maximize effectiveness For purposes of this bid, it is assumed that operation and maintenance will be <br /> one year in duration <br /> Task 12 Quarterly Groundwater Sampling <br /> Groundwater samples will be collected on a quarterly basis, and our costs include 4 sampling events of <br /> monitoring we]Is MW-I though MW-7 Laboratory analysis will be conducted as specified in the existing <br /> monitoring plan The testing will be completed by a California-accredited laboratory <br /> Task 13 Quarterly Reports and California UST Reimbursement Fund Compliance <br /> The work will be completed in accordance with the California UST Reimbursement Fund guidelines <br /> Adequate documentation will be provided in the form of a start-up report that will be submitted within 60 <br /> days of beginning system operations It will include details of field investigative/construction methods, <br /> field reports, soil boring and well construction logs, and laboratory analytical reports <br /> Quarterly monitoring reports will be completed and submitted for your authorization prior to releasing <br /> them to the PHD-EHD and APCD for review Costs for the start -up and four quarterly reports are <br /> included in our quotation The format of our invoices will also comply with the Fund's requirements <br /> MGWCAPSD VWD <br /> FLUOR DANIEL GTI 90 <br /> 6 <br />
