The Board will consider changing the coliform effluent limitation, <br /> imposing a turbidity limitation (with monitoring) based upon the <br /> Department of Health Services ' review of its Disinfection Guide- <br /> lines. <br /> 5. The arithmetic mean biochemical oxygen demand (5-day) and suspended <br /> solids in effluent samples collected in a period of 30 consecutive <br /> days shall not exceed 15 percent of the arithmetic mean of the values <br /> for influent samples collected at approximately the same times during <br /> the same period (85 percent removal ) . <br /> 6. The discharge shall not have a pH less than 6.0 nor greater than 8.5 <br /> nor shall it cause a change greater than 0. 5 in the pH of the <br /> receiving waters. <br /> 7. Bypass or overflow of untreated or partially treated wastes is <br /> prohibited. <br /> 8. The Discharger shall use the best practicable cost-effective control <br /> technique currently available to limit mineralization to no more than <br /> a reasonable increment. <br /> 9. Survival of test fishes in 96-hour bioassays of undiluted waste shall <br /> be no less than: <br /> Minimum for any one bioassay ---------- 70% <br /> Median for any three or more consecutive bioassays ------- 90% <br />
