W GIR,
• souithwest, IIne.
Phase II as having high levels of contaminants. Other areas of particular concern are those
where investigation was prohibited due to the presence of debris stockpiles and other
obstructions. Should stockpiles be removed that precluded sampling during this Phase II
ESA, it is recommended that these areas be sampled.
Additional research should be conducted into conditions on the adjacent ST Services Terminal
site in order to ascertain whether an offsite source may be affecting groundwater quality in
this area. The most current data on the status of the August 2007 PCB release on the site
should be obtained and evaluated with respect to the soil and potential groundwater PCB
contamination identified in this investigation.
The preceding recommendations are based on the data generated by this Phase II investigation
which has confirmed the presence of contamination due to the historical and ongoing
operations of The Leamer Company.
•
704.
