It is
understood that LFR personnel at no cost to Chevron will perform stockpile sampling for disposal
characterization. The required sampling frequency will be 4 discrete samples composited into one at the
laboratory for every 100 cubic yards of excavated material. The required analyses will be for
TPHG/BTEX/MtBE(8015/8020)and total lead(6010). Samples shall be submitted to Sequoia Analytical
for analysis on 24-hour turnaround. Laboratory costs will be covered by Chevron. For billing purposes, the
chain of custody should reference the subject site and Service Order Number 9034408.A copy of all
analytical results should be faxed to LFR and to Chevron(Brett Hunter at(925) 842-8370). Chevron will
coordinate and pay for the transportation and disposal of any excavated material that is precluded from
unconditional use as a result of motor fuel hydrocarbon contamination. All other excavated material will be
promptly removed from the subject site by LFR at no cost to Chevron.
I trust the above accurately reflects your understanding of our conversation yesterday. If you have any
questions or comments, I can be reached at(925)842-8695.
Sincerely,
Brett L.
