Analyzed samples were composited in the laboratory from
two, three,or four discrete samples, depending on the estimated stockpile voltune. The stockpiles were
sampled according to the frequency recommended by your agency at the subject site on January 29, 1998.
The total stockpile volume represented by all five samples is approximately 284 cubic yards. The reported
results characterize the hydrocarbon concentrations present in each stockpile.
Chevron proposes to transport all 284 cubic yards of stockpiled soil to its service station located at 4400
Waterloo Road in Stockton,California. All soil transported to that location will be combined with
engineered fill for grading operations currently underway_Once compacted, the graded area(arid subject
soil)will be paved.Any soil not transported to 4400 Waterloo Road will be transported to BFI Vasco Road
Landfill in Livermore,California for disposal. Chevron would prefer to load and transport soil from the
subject site tomorrow. Your agency's a pedient review and concurrence with this proposal would be
greatly appreciated
If you have any questions or comments,1 can be reached at(510)842-8695.
SAN JOAMIN COUNTY
ENVIROfdMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION
Sincerely- 304 E.Weber Ave.Third Floor
4 /, P.O.Box 388, Stockton,CA 85201-0388 ,
Phone: (209)468-3420 ,
Brett L.Hunter •
Environmental Engineer Approved
Site Assessment and Remediation ❑Approved with changes: See RemarSut 1
❑Disapproved: See Remaft
Remarks
Date
Approval of these plantexten s only to that
which is shown and described hereon but
does not authorize or approve any omission
or deviation of requirements of State laves or
Local Ordinances.
