A Work <br /> Plan for Waste Oil Tank, Holst, and Product Line Removal,dated November 4, 1997, <br /> was submitted to San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD) <br /> describing the anticipated work scope prior to the commencement of field work. <br /> Subsequent analysis of collected soil samples revealed soil beneath th&removed waste <br /> oil tank and fuel dispensers was impacted. <br /> Persuant to your request,the following addendum to the Work Plan was prepared to <br /> address specific upeets of soil over-excavation,the type of excavation equipment to be <br /> used,confirmation soil samling frequencies and locations,and target analytes proposed <br /> for confirmation sampling. <br /> PROPOSED ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORD <br /> Soil confirmation samples will be collected from the product lines per the Tri Regional <br /> Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation and investigation of <br /> Underground Tank Sites. additional soil samples will be collected at dispenser areas <br /> previously determined by laboratory analysis to be impacted by hydrocarbons. <br /> The vertical and horizontal extent of impacted soil will be delineated by collecting one <br /> sample from each side wall and one sample from each floor area of over-excavation <br /> pits.
