Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> KISHIDA PROPERTY <br /> 860 East Pine Street,Lodi, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Russell Kishida,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE)has prepared this <br /> Preliminary Site Assessment Report for the property located at 860 East Pine Street,Lodi,California <br /> (site). A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> This report was prepared as required by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board - <br /> Central Valley Region (Regional Board) by a letter dated 02 July 2008 (Appendix A) and is in <br /> accordance the Regional Board's guidelines for Spills, Leaks Investigations Cleanup (SLIC) sites. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in an industrial and residential area at 860 Pine Street, Lodi, California. The <br /> property is rectangular in shape, and the surface primarily consists of dirt and gravel. Prominent <br /> features on the site include a building on the northern portion, and a large canopy on the south <br /> western portion of the property(Figure 2). <br /> In their letter dated 07 May 2008,the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) <br /> reported previous business owners allegedly disposed of used oil,waste solvents,waste paint,waste <br /> diesel fuel and waste hydraulic fluids onto dirt and gravel on the site between 2004 and 2007. <br /> On 18 January 2008,a site inspection revealed stained areas on the property and several abandoned <br /> drums. Hazardous waste containers were properly disposed of at the Household Hazardous Waste <br /> Consolidation Facility; however several stained areas remain on-site (EHD letter,May 2008). <br /> 3.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Fieldwork was performed in accordance with proceduresoutlined in the AGE-prepared Preliminary <br /> Site Assessment Work Plan dated 24 September 2008 and approved by the Regional Board by a letter <br /> dated 20 October 2008 (Appendix A). The work was performed in accordance with the Regional <br /> Board guidelines for the subsurface investigation of Spills, Leaks Investigations Cleanup (SLIC) <br /> sites. The EHD boring permit is included in Appendix B. <br /> 3.1. ADVANCEMENT OF SOIL BORINGS <br /> On 24 through 25 November 2008, four soil borings (P-2 through P-5) were advanced on-site, to <br /> depths of 10 feet below surface grade(bsg); two soil borings(P-1 and P-6)were advanced to depths <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
