When tasks were pulled at Ripon Farm .Service, the
analytical data showed minimal to no detect.
i
2 . Analytical results for Ripon Farm Service No. 3
(10, 000 gallon unleaded tank) showed 1.7 PPM TPH BTX ND.
i
Note, the analytical results from the monitoring wells
installed by Geological Audit Services indicate elevated
levels not shown. in results from the tank pull.
3 . The different results from the time of the tank
pull , to the time of monitoring well installation indicate
either the analytical results were invalid from the tank
pull, or there is off-site migratiari.
j
4 . Jimco site records indicate that major unauthorized
releases occurred at the site from the truck wash and site
run off, which was into unlined ditches and unlined ponds .
Samples collected by CVRWQCB in 1985 revealed floating
product, including hydrocarbons, in ponds and ditches . An
oil/water; separator was installed in late 1987, but no
effort to' mitigate soil contamination was undertaken. These
discharges occurred as far back as the early 70s. The ponds
and open ditches were just adjacent to the Ripon Farm Ser-
vice site: Over the years, the ongoing migration to ground
water is highly likely.
i
Following your review of this data, I would ask that you
i
 I
