(Cambria) was recently retained by Olympian JV
(Olympian) to provide environmental services pertaining to the above referenced site. On behalf of
Olympian,Cambria proposes to revise the well sampling schedule to reduce unnecessary field labor
and analytical costs.
Based on our review of existing data, Cambria proposes the following modifications to the well
sampling schedule:
• Hydrocarbons have not been detected in groundwater samples collected from wells MW-3,
MW-4, MW-5, and MW-7 for at least four quarters. As such, Cambria requests that
groundwater sampling frequency be reduced from quarterly to annually for wells MW-3,
MW-4, and<.MW-5f and from quarterly to semi-annually for well MW-7. Please see attached i
table for groundwater analytical results.
• TPHg, TPHd, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), and methyl tert butyl
ether (MTBE) appear to be the only contaminants of concern. Fuel oxygenates have not 1
been detected in groundwater samples collected from wells MW-2 through r a
least four quarters (see attached table). As such, Cambria requests that groundwater samples
from all wells be analyzed for only TPHg and TPHd by EPA method 8015M; BTEX andQ
MTBE by EPA method 8021B; and fuel oxygenates by EPA method 8260B. .1 E,1( 4-'6Dr—a
-LPCIO
see our proposed well sampling schedule for 2005 on the following page.
Cambria
Environmental is f '
Technology,,Inc.
a 5900 Hollis Street
Suite A •
Emeryville,CA 94608
Tel(510)420-0700
fax(510)420-9170
i
1
