This site is now listed with County's Local Oversight Program for oversight
assessment and clean up activities at contaminated underground storage
tank(s).
I am assuming this was initiated by an unauthorized release report completed by
one of your inspectors in May 1992.
1 would like to bring you up to date with this site. We have authorized Ripon Farm
Service to proceed with monitoring wells on out property. Tim Gipson our
Operations manager for the Sacto-San Joaquin Valley sent a letter to Bob Marty
of Advanced GeoEnviron mental January 29, giving permission to proceed with
the monitoring wells as determined by their work plan.
You had requested that we provide a" work plan to investigate lateral and vertical
extent that has been evidenced associated with the underground storage tank
system at our site." This work plan is to be submitted to you by February 27. 1
would like to point out that the original report from the county was based on
leaking dispensers and to our knowledge not with any of the underground
storage tanks.
We have been in the process of getting permits to bring this site in compliance
with the Federal EPA UST requirement. We will be removing all the single walled
tanks and piping. A double walled gasoline tank will be installed with DW piping.
The aboveground tanks will be DW piped to the islands.
At this time we will do a full site investigation and provide a work plan to
remediate any contamination encountered at that time. The initial construction
schedule was set to commence in March.
