1 r <br /> SQuarterly Report - First Quarter 2003 <br /> JIMCO TRUCK PLAZA <br />' 22502 South Highway 99, Ripon, California <br /> 1 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Dan Koch of Olympian Oil Company, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br />' (AGE)has prepared this quarterlyreport far the Jimco Truck Plaza,located at 22502 South Highway <br /> 99,Ripon, California(the site) The scope of work included quarterly ground water monitoring and <br />' preparation of this report The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area are <br /> illustrated on Figure 1, structures and boring and monitoring well locations on the site are illustrated <br /> on Figure 2 <br /> 1 This report has been prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the subsurface investigation of <br /> underground storage tank (UST) sites Background information, including details of previous site <br /> assessment work, was presented in AGE's report titled Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation <br /> Report (PIER), dated 13 December 1999 <br />' 2.0 PROCEDURES <br /> Field work was conducted in accordance with guidelines established by the CVRWQCB for the <br />' investigation of UST sites and the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> for sampling of ground water monitoring wells <br /> X �;��� <br />' 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION Rvl <br /> r <br />' On 10 January 2003,a Solinst water level meter was u d to measure the depth to groundwater from <br /> the well casing tops in wells MW-1 through MW-8 he depths to groundwater are summarized in ` <br /> Table l I <br /> After water levels were gauged, disposable plastic bailers were used to purge the monitoring wells _ <br /> of`a minimum of three casing-water volumes (approxima`tely 3 0 to 5 5 gallons) of ground water <br /> t _ During purging,the temperature,pH,and conductivity were measured at approximately one or three- <br /> gallon intervals using an Oakton Water Analyzer The field data sheets are included in Appendix A <br /> Purged water was stored on site in 5 5-gallon drums r ; <br />' <br /> Approximately 13 inches of free-phase product was observed in the first bailer of water reir'ioved <br /> pp Y <br /> from well MW-6 during purging,approximately 3 0 inches of free-phase product also was observed <br />' in well MW-1 Free product was no longer observed in the bailer after two gallons of purge water <br /> was removed from each well f <br /> y � , <br />
