J <br /> Quarterly Report - Fourth Quarter 2000 <br />` Jimco Truck Plaza <br />' 22502 South Highway 99, Ripon, California <br /> 10 INTRODUCTION <br /> I , <br /> At the request of Mr Rusty Firenze of Olympian Oil Company, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br />' (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for the Jimco Truck Plaza, located at 22502 South Highway <br /> 99, Ripon, California(the site) <br />' The scope of work included groundwater monitoring and sampling of eight monitoring wells and <br /> one domestic well located on the site The location of the site with respect to its surroundings is <br /> illustrated on Figure 1 Buildings and monitoring well locations on the site are depicted on Figure <br /> 2 <br /> Background information, including details of previous site assessment work, was presented in <br />' AGE's report titled Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report (PIER), dated 13 December <br /> 1999 <br />' 2.0 PROCEDURES <br /> The objective of the work was to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground <br /> water and characterize ground water flow direction and gradient on the site Field work and report <br /> preparation are in accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health <br />' Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> 1 <br /> 21 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES , <br />' On 06 November 2000, a Solmst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water <br /> from the well casing tops in wells MW-1 through MW-8 The depths to ground water are <br />' summarized in Table 1 <br /> After water levels were gauged, a pre-cleaned submersible pump was used to purge each monitoring <br />' well of a minimum of three casing-water volumes (approximately 6 gallons) of ground water <br /> Temperature, pH, and conductivity were measured at approximately two-gallon intervals using a <br /> Hydac Water Analyzer The field data sheets are included in Appendix A Purged water was stored <br />' on site in 55-gallon drums <br /> 22 GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> Prior to the collection of ground water samples, the depth to ground water was re-measured in each <br /> 1 <br />
