05 February1999 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 98-0433 <br />' y Page 5 of 9 <br /> Laboratory reports of soil analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control <br /> (QA/QC)reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with the <br /> findings and recommendations. <br /> 3.6. REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared <br /> presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description of the work <br /> 1 performed and results of the sampling and analysis. Conclusions and applicable recommendations <br /> will be included in the report. The report will be in a format acceptable to the PHS-EHD and the <br />' CVRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist. <br /> (I <br /> 4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES ! <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Registered Geologist. Procedures for the soil sampling, grab water collection and sample analyses, <br /> monitoring well installation,well development,ground water sampling, equipment decontamination <br /> and sample shipment are outlined below. <br /> 1 <br /> 4.1. PROBE BORING ADVANCEMENT i <br /> Probe borings will be advanced using AGE's van-mounted Geoprobe 5400 direct-push probing unit <br /> equipped with 1.25-inch probing rods. The Geoprobe advances soil probe borings using a hydraulic <br /> ' or pneumatic hammer to drive soil and ground water sampling tools to specified depths. <br /> ' 4.2. SOIL SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br /> ' Soil samples.will be.collected using Geoprobe push-driven 1.25-inch diameter discrete.sample <br /> leaded with four six-inch brass sleeves or a Geoprobe push-driven 2-inch diameter continuous core <br /> sampler fitted with a four-foot long Teflon sleeve. Upon removal from the sampler,the brass sample <br /> ' sleeve will be separated with a clean soil knife. The exposed ends of the second sleeve.will be <br /> covered with Teflon sheets or aluminum sheets, capped and sealed with tape. Soil samples will be <br /> selected and will be cut in 6-inch lengths from the Teflon sleeve and will be preserved as described <br /> for the brass sleeves. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvircnmental,Inc. ! <br />
