The Community Relations Plan (CRP) is a document intended to
provide the local community with information of the ongoing environmental activities at
DDJC-Tracy, encourage public participation in environmental restoration decision
making processes and promote open communication with surrounding community
through various media outlets and by conducting public meetings for interested
community members. The CRP is updated periodically to capture the current remedial
actions and ensure the public is informed of the site progress along with an opportunity
for participation in the decision-making process. The last update to the DDJC-Tracy
CRP was finalized in May 2004.
DTSC has reviewed the Draft CRP and has the following comments:
Comments
1. Page 1, Section 1.1, Background; The figure provided on the bottom of the page
shows the DDJC-Tracy site boundaries along with the presumed City of Tracy
boundaries, but does not include a legend to indicate what the different shaded
boundaries represent. DTSC recommends a legend be included next to the
figure to identify the purpose of the lighter colored boundaries.
