S. Army ToXiC and <br /> Hazardous Materials Agency (USATHAMA) . The FFS was prepared by <br /> Environmental Science and Engineering Inc. (ESE) under contract to <br /> USATHAMA. <br /> OVERVIEWS <br /> The objective of the FFS is to document the technology considered <br /> and the rationale used in selecting an interim remedial measure <br /> (IRM) to treat ground water contamination in DDRW Sharpe' s central <br /> area. <br /> The FFS limits treatment parameters to the family of contaminates <br /> known as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) , selecting <br /> trichloroethene (TCE) as the indicator chemical. Ground vater <br /> contamination in the central area consists of three separate <br /> plumes. With respect to the site wide investigation, the are <br /> plumes 3 , 4 and 5 (considered one plume) , and 6. Transmissive <br /> zones are labeled A (30 feet) , B (60 feet) , and C (140 feet) . Two <br /> interconnecting zones, AB (49 - 56 feet) and CD (135 - 198feet) <br /> have also exist. <br /> I <br />
