• 0 14 • I . FACILITY IDENTIFICATION This section identifies information on the facility operator, owner, contact person, and those responsible for Plan preparation. A. Facility Information Sharpe Facility is located approximately 10 miles south of Stockton, California in the town of Lathrop, California, as shown in Figure I-1 . The depot is located on 725 acres of relatively flat land bounded on the south by Lathrop Road, on the north by Roth Road, and on the east and west by agricultural lands shown in Figure 1-2. Sharpe Facility is an active supply facility responsible for the receipt, storage, issue, and limited preservation and assigned commodities. The operations at the depot generate various types of hazardous wastes which are stored in containers on site in buildings 530 and 605. When a sufficient quantity has accumulated, a contractor removes and disposes of the waste off site at an approved disposal site. The following is a brief description of both storage facilities at DDRW. BUILDING 530: CONTAMINATED SAND AND EMPTY DRUM STORAGE Constructed with a 4-inch concrete slab 625 square feet of storage area • Details shown in Figure VI-2. BUILDING 605: HAZARDOUS WASTE STORAGE Constructed with monolithic concrete pour 2,000 square feet of storage area Details shown in Figure VI-4.
