Date Established: 13 June 1990 (Revised 4 February 1993) <br /> 3 . Date to be Terminated: To continue until groundwater and soil <br /> contamination problem is solved. To be reviewed 4 February 1994 . <br /> 4 . Committee Type and Category: Continuing inter-federal, state, <br /> local, and citizen. <br /> 5 . Function: To formulate recommendations necessary for making <br /> prudent decisions concerning the remediation methods and control <br /> measures that will assist in eliminating the sources of <br /> contamination and clean up of the environment. The periodic <br /> meeting of the Committee will augment the more frequent technical <br /> management working sessions held by the agencies directly involved <br /> in cleanup activity. The recommendations formulated by the TRC <br /> will be advisory. <br /> 6. Direction and Control: The committee receives its direction <br /> from the Commander and submits reports to the Commander, Defense <br /> Distribution Region West, Sharpe Facility. <br /> 7 . Authority: Statutory. The Superfund Amendments and <br /> Reauthorization Act of 1986, Chapter 160 , Environmental <br /> Restoration, Section 2705, paragraph C, Notice of Environmental <br /> Restoration Activities . <br /> 8 . Administrative Support and Staff Arrangements : DERA funds . <br /> 9 .
