CA0081931 <br /> FOR <br /> U.S. DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE <br /> DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY <br /> DEFENSE DISTRIBUTION DEPOT SAN JOAQUIN <br /> SHARPE GROUNDWATER REMEDIATION SYSTEM <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> For purposes of evaluating compliance with the limitations of Order No. R5-2002-0213, the Discharger <br /> shall conduct monitoring and submit reports as specified below. To evaluate compliance with the <br /> limitations of this Order, monitoring should occur within a brief enough period to be able to evaluate the <br /> effect of the effluent on the ambient water quality. The Discharger shall not implement any changes to <br /> this Program unless and until the Regional Board or Executive Officer issues a revised Monitoring and <br /> Reporting Program. <br /> INFLUENT MONITORING <br /> Influent groundwater samples shall be collected from each GWTP prior to treatment. When feasible, the <br /> influent shall be collected at approximately the same time as effluent samples. <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Frequency <br /> Total Volatile Organic Compounds µg/L',ppb' Grab Monthly <br /> Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons µg/L',ppb' Grab Monthly <br /> micrograms per Liter. <br /> ' parts per billion. <br /> EFFLUENT MONITORING <br /> (Outfall 001 to the South San Joaquin Irrigation District Canal) <br /> Effluent samples shall be collected downstream from the last connection through which wastes can be <br /> admitted into the outfall. Effluent samples shall be representative of the volume and quality of the <br /> discharge, including batch releases from the treatment processes. Time of collection of samples shall be <br /> recorded. The effluent monitoring shall include at least the following: <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Frequency <br /> Flow mgd. Meter Continuous <br /> PHI pH units Grab Weekly <br /> Electrical Conductivity @25°C' µmhos/cm Grab Weekly <br /> Temperature' OF Grab Weekly <br /> Dissolved Oxygen' mg/L(ppm) Grab Weekly <br />
