N '
Mr. Marshall Cloud
May 11, 2007
Page 2
participation in DDJC-Sharpe's mailing list to receive future Fact Sheets and
Newsletters. DDJC-Sharpe should update its current mailing list to include
interested residents from the new housing developments surrounding DDJC-
Sharpe.
3. DTSC is aware that a Potable Well Users Outreach program, a component of
DDJC-Sharpe's Response Completion Plan, may contact residents using potable
wells in the near future and potentially offer hookups to City of Lathrop water
supply. DTSC recommends that any future contacts by DDJC with nearby
Spanish speaking residents include a Spanish translator to effectively
communicate the necessary information to these residents.
4. DTSC recommends that future public meetings for DDJC-Sharpe include a
Spanish translator in the event that Spanish speaking residents are in
attendance.
5. DTSC recommends that any changes to DDJC-Sharpe's environmental cleanup
activities or information on upcoming events and special articles should be
captured in Fact Sheets or Newsletters sent to the public in collaboration with
DTSC's Public Participation Specialists.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this letter, please feel free to contact
me at (916) 255-3713, or e-mail me at Pmacnich(a)dtsc.ca.pov.
Sincere)
/;V'4v
Peter MacNicholl, P.E.
Remedial Project Manager
Federal Facilities Unit
cc: See DDJC-Sharpe Distribution List.
