EWCC3 failed <br /> in October 2008 due to a catastrophic motor failure causing damage to the motor <br /> housing and well casing. Subsequent redevelopment and repair activities were <br /> unsuccessful in "sleeving" the damaged portion of the casing and removing 25+ feet (') <br /> of fine grained sand and silt that entered the well during bailing and purging. In <br /> February 2009, EWCC3 was determined to be "damaged beyond repair" prompting <br /> immediate replacement by Defense Enterprise San Joaquin California. EWCC3R <br /> off-site well installation activities are planned for June 2009. <br /> DTSC has reviewed the work plan and has the following comments: <br /> ® Printed on Recycled Paper <br />
