Environmental Program Office letter dated December 5, 1988, subject <br /> as above. <br /> b. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) letter, dated February 24, <br /> 1989, to Sharpe Army Depot and Power Systems Engineering. <br /> As a follow up to a letter furnished your office (Reference a. ) , Sharpe <br /> Army Depot has now completed negotiations and signed a contract to provide <br /> remediation water to San Joaquin CoGen Limited. <br /> The delivery requirements remain as stated in reference a. Evaluation of <br /> additional alternate uses for the remediation water excess to this project <br /> will continue. <br /> A report, in accordance with EPA guidance will be prepared to evaluate <br /> alternative treatment/non-treatment of arsenic. The arsenic plumes are <br /> presently being addressed as part of the Remedial Investigation Program and <br /> this evaluation is excepted to be a product of this investigation. <br /> The effluent from the South Balloon Treatment Plant is presently <br /> monitored as required by our NPDES permit. Arsenic and Volatile Organic <br /> Compounds (VOC) are tested weekly; Heavy Metals and a Bio-Assay are performed <br /> monthly. <br />
