C-SHADRIFS.6/WPADD.14 <br /> 05/17/90 <br /> 4.0 PESTICIDE SAMPLING AT PESTICIDE STORAGE AREA <br /> ' Elevated concentrations of chlordane, DDT, 1,1-dichloro-2,2-bis(4- <br /> chlorophenyl)-ethylene (DDE) , and dichlorodiphenyldichloroethane (DDD) <br /> ' were reported at a single soil boring location, S1, within the fenced <br /> area that surrounds the Pesticide Storage Shop at SHAD. To estimate the <br /> total area affected and the total amount of pesticides released within <br /> ' the area, a more rigorous sampling effort needs to be completed. Three <br /> boring locations, located as shown in Figure 2, will be sampled using <br /> ' split-spoon samples to a depth of 15 ft. Three composite samples will <br /> be collected over the intervals of 0 to 5 ft, 5 to 10 ft, and 10 to 15 <br /> ft. <br /> These samples will also be analyzed for arsenic, because previous <br /> sampling and analysis in this area did not include arsenic. <br /> 14 <br /> r <br />
