1 <br /> each well relative to the California Coordinate System, using the TOC elevations and a benchmark <br /> Elevations will be measured to a precision of 0 01 feet, and horizontal control will be surveyed to a <br /> precision of 0 5 feet A v-shaped notch will be cut in the north side of the top of the PVC casing and <br /> will be the reference for the elevation measurements <br /> A permanent metal identification tag will be attached to each well and will include the <br /> following data well number, date drilled, depth, contractor name, and screen interval <br /> 3.3.6 Ground-Water Sampling <br /> ' Monitoring wells will be allowed to stabilize for at least 48 hours after well development is <br /> completed and before ground-water sampling activities are initiated One ground-water sample will <br /> be collected for laboratory analysis from each well Ground-water sampling consists of the following <br /> activities and will be performed in the order presented below <br /> Organic Vapor Check <br /> Prior to the initiation of well sampling procedures, the interior of each well will be checked <br /> I with a PID for the presence of organic vapors The well cap will be opened slightly, allowing for the <br /> insertion of the PID probe tip inside the well Readings will be monitored and recorded in the field <br /> ' logbook The cap will then be removed and the well allowed to vent for a short period of time prior <br /> to measuring static water level <br /> Static Water Level/Total Well Depth Measurement <br /> ' Prior to initiating well purging procedures, the static water level at each well will be <br /> measured with a decontaminated sounder The reference point used will be the TOC mark, and the <br /> ' depth to water below the reference point will be measured to the nearest 0 01 foot and recorded in the <br /> field logbook <br /> 1 <br /> The bottom of the well will also be measured, with a decontaminated weighted fiberglass <br /> ' tape, to the nearest 0 01 foot The amount of fill material in the bottom of the well will be calculated <br /> 5AMPL"162 <br /> 044-0162LTrATAI0/0W2 18 <br />
