The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for SUVIK FARMS LLC FRENCH CAMP SHOP as of February24, 2020. <br /> Open violations from October 17, 2019 inspection <br /> Violation#301 -Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION Stained soil was observed near the waste oil tank and by the diesel tanks. Leaking of what appeare <br /> to be used oil was observed from a 55 gallon drum storing used oil filters. The leaking drum was punctured at the <br /> bottom and dark staining was observed on the soil. The stained soil near the diesel tanks was said to have been a <br /> diesel overfill while refueling machinery. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately address leaks and remove and properly dispose of stained soil. Manage the <br /> waste according to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting <br /> documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department describing the storage and final <br /> disposition of the cleaned up waste. <br /> This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: �`�/'� r ( o 67Li S rrww"ej <br /> - -A <br /> Violation #401 -Failed to store hazardous waste in a container that is in good condition. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste was found stored on-site in containers that are not in good condition. Used oil <br /> filters were stored in a punctured 55 gallon steel drum. The drum was punctured at the bottom and what appeared to <br /> be used oil escaped the container. It was stated that his container was left behind by the previous owner. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Hazardous waste shall be stored in containers that are in good condition. If a container <br /> holding hazardous waste is not in good condition (e.g., severe rusting, apparent structural defects), or if it begins to <br /> leak, the owner or operator shall transfer the hazardous waste from this container to a container that is in good <br /> condition, or manage the waste in some other way that complies with the hazardous waste requirements. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately transfer all hazardous wastes into containers that are in good condition.
